How does boiler finance work?

If you decide you’d like to pay monthly for your new boiler, you’ll be happy to know that we’ve made the process simple:

  • See what finance options are available and find the most suitable one for you. You’ll see these when you go through the steps to complete the purchase of your new boiler.
  • Select the plan that you’d like to proceed with, including the deposit amount and number of repayments. You’ll then be directed to our finance provider to complete your application.
  • If your application is accepted, you’ll receive an order confirmation for your new boiler, including your chosen boiler information and installation date.

A boiler finance plan helps to take some of that stress away by enabling you to break the cost down into more affordable monthly amounts, rather than paying the full amount all at once.

When you buy your new boiler from AIRCON, we offer a range of pay monthly boiler finance options, so you can find one that suits you best. This includes options to spread the cost from 12 months to 120 months, or 0% interest up to 48 months (deposit may be required depending on which plan you choose). You can use our finance calculator above to discover the different options available, including deposits required and monthly payment amounts. 

How to get 0% boiler finance?

An interest-free boiler plan is a great way to spread the cost of your boiler installation, without having to pay any extra charges. At AIRCON, we offer interest-free boiler finance on plans from 12-48 months, depending on which boiler model you choose. 

To get a 0% interest boiler finance plan, once you’ve answered a few simple questions about your home and heating system, we’ll show you a range of boilers that will suit your home, and you can see which ones have interest-free finance available. Once you’ve chosen a boiler, simply select “Pay monthly” at checkout and use our finance calculator to review the options for monthly payment amounts. You’ll then be passed to our finance provider to complete your application.

To apply you must

 

– Be over 18 years of age

– You must be a UK resident with at least 3 years continual address history

– You must be in full time employment, unless retired or a house person with a spouse in full time employment

– Have a UK bank account that can accept direct debits

– Have a stable income through permanent employment (at least 16 hours per week) or other means (pension, Disability Allowance, etc.)

– Be okay for there to be a credit check performed when you submit your application

– You must have a valid Debit or Credit card registered in your name and to the home address on the application form in order to pay your deposit

Yes. Just contact your credit provider, Novuna Consumer Finance, who will offer you a settlement amount for early repayment.
No, you can take out a monthly agreement with a £0 deposit. However, you can put down up to 50% of the total price as a deposit if you want to. You’ll be able to adjust the amount of deposit you pay when you choose Pay monthly at checkout.
Your credit file will be checked for you to be able to take out boiler finance. When undertaking these checks, lenders assess your affordability to be able to make the repayments of your loan.
When applying for boiler finance via our chosen lender, Novuna, you will usually get an instant decision on whether your application has been approved or not. In some cases, they may need to do additional checks and will contact you directly.

Should your finance application with Novuna be approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email from AIRCON with all the details of your order, including your chosen boiler and installation date, as well as what the next steps are.

How does AIRCON Life work?

If you are accepted for a AIRCON Life plan, the boiler will be bought upfront in one payment on your behalf. You then simply make monthly payments (including interest) until the loan amount is repaid. An additional monthly amount will be added to this monthly payment to cover the cost of all your servicing allowing you to spread the cost of the annual boiler service. This additional monthly servicing amount is not subject to any interest charges. Whilst you make your monthly payments you are renting the boiler from HomeServe Finance but once your last payment is made the ownership of the boiler automatically transfers to you. At any point during the plan you can buy the boiler, take ownership and exit the plan by paying off the outstanding balance plus a small amount of interest. Please contact us to obtain an early repayment figure.

You rent the boiler during the term of the agreement and then ownership of the boiler is transferred to you at the end of the agreement. This means you will own the boiler once your last payment has been made or alternatively, if you choose to buy the boiler outright before the end of the plan then ownership will transfer to you at that point.
Conditional Sale which is a type of Hire Purchase where you take ownership of the boiler once you have made your last payment on the plan.

Via a Direct Debit payment which will be collected from your bank account. On your bank statement the payment will show as being collected by AIRCON Life.

Yes, you can pay the agreement off early at any point by paying off the outstanding balance plus a small amount of interest. You will take full ownership of the boiler after this final payment and you will not be liable for any future service fees. In addition, any unused service payments (where you have made payments towards your current annual service but the service has not yet taken place) will be refunded to you as part of the settlement amount. A specific early repayment figure can be provided by HomeServe Finance. Someone from HomeServe Finance will then be in touch to talk this through with you.

No, there are no other fees to pay in operating your AIRCON Life agreement on a day-to-day basis.

Yes, there is a need to provide some information to credit reference bureaus for a number of reasons including:

  • Enabling people to access credit safely 
  • Prevent fraud 
  • To protect vulnerable customers 
  • To ensure the financial system can operate safely

However, we only provide information to credit reference bureaus once you have signed your AIRCON Life agreement.
